Our History
CouponMint Magazine was first published in 1984 to help students at Western Kentucky University save money with free coupons they could use with campus-area merchants. CouponMint expanded to reach the community of Bowling Green and soon added the Nashville metropolitan market.
In 1992 we relocated the CouponMint headquarters to Hermitage, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. Our company leadership, sales, graphic design and administrative personnel work together at this site to constantly improve CouponMint for our customers and Merchant Partners. Since our founding, CouponMint has grown 700%, as a result of our commitment to our consumer and merchant clients.
CouponMint Magazines: $avings In Your Mailbox!
Today, there are 7 community coupon publications in the CouponMint family, plus we continue to publish the Western Kentucky University campus book twice a year. At CouponMint, we build strong local relationships, while featuring great deals from national advertisers as well. We know that strong community business keeps communities strong, and a strong community is a great place to live.
Community Coupon magazines are distributed by mail 5x annually, in Early February, Late April, Mid-July, Early October and right before Thanksgiving. Each publication reaches up to 60,000 homes that are specifically zip code targeted.
CouponMint's goal is to feature exclusive discounts from the best merchants in each community we serve: 50% of our Merchant Partners are in the Food and Entertainment segment, 15% in Health and Beauty, 15% in Home Improvement, 5-10 % in Automotive Care, and 10% in General Retail. In addition, our "post card" mailers deliver unique seasonal discounts outside of our regular publication schedule.

Mark Schwartz, CEO
Mark was raised in Philadelphia and enjoyed a "previous life" training and driving harness racehorses in over 3,000 competitions. Mark's extensive experience in the corporate world ranges from small entrepreneurships to Fortune 100 entities. In 1999, he moved to Nashville, and in 2008 became a partner in CouponMint. He and his wife Kathy, married for over three decades, enjoy spending time with their son, daughter and two granddaughters.
Mark's strong work ethic and leadership skills are the key to his success. He is committed to assisting his employees and customers achieve their business and life goals, and his motivation is always to "do the right thing." Mark is proud that CouponMint is recognized as a proven solution for a business to boost sales while capitalizing on its advertising dollar's return-on-investment.
Amy Mack, Marketing Specialist
Amy attended Baylor University and Troy State University as a Business Communications major. She served as the Director of Fundraising Initiative for Habitat for Humanity in Waco, Texas and was the top sales producer for an international media consortium. Amy is engaged to a lieutenant in the US Army who has served two tours in Afghanistan and will soon be stationed in Iraq.
Jennifer A. Pfister, Marketing Specialist

Kristy Wynn-Ripmaster, Marketing Specialist
Kristy serves the North Nashville area and has been with CouponMint since 2006. She routinely strives to assist her clients in getting the most 'bang for their buck' when it comes to advertising dollars. Kristy knows that CouponMint offers one of the most effective and inexpensive forms of advertising, and she enjoys seeing the excitement on a client's face when they witness the return on their investment, and the growth of their business.
Cynthia Shaluta, Marketing Specialist
Cynthia serves the Bowling Green + WKU areas for Coupon Mint. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors degree in Advertising, and has worked in this industry for over 20 years, in television promotions and also working as a former radio General Sales Manager. Cynthia has helped her clients meet their advertising goals with CouponMint for 10 years and says that if you want to reach the most people for the least amount of money and grow your business, CouponMint's definitely the best way to go!
Chanel Ferdelman, Marketing Specialist
Chanel primarily serves the Rutherford County areas for Coupon Mint Magazine. She is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a bachelors degree of social work and earned a master's degree from Adams State College. Chanel has been in the printing industry for almost 3 years and is also an active member of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce. Chanel has helped small and big business owners make a lot of money by driving new customers to their business. She says, "The only thing businesses need to be afraid of is making money. Kelli McNeer, Marketing Specialist
Kelli McNeer has been in the marketing and advertising fields for the last
10 years, focusing her efforts on Brand Management, Experiential Marketing
and Print Advertising. Kelli spent a few of those years in Chicago where
she was the Promotions Manager for the Cadillac and HUMMMER Brands of
General Motors in their North Central US Office. In Nashville she worked
with The Tennessean Newspaper in New Business Development and then was promoted to the National Account Manager for the Travel Section. Most
recently, Kelli was the Senior Account Executive at DK & Associates
Marketing Consultancy where she worked with clients to develop their brands
including grass roots marketing and media buying. Kelli has been with the
Coupon Mint Magazine since 2008 developing new business and managing
existing customers with their advertising needs.
Rick Fuller, Marketing Specialist
Rick Fuller, has over fifteen years of sales experience, include eight years of outside sales experience working with local business owners, ranging from office supply sales to business to business, restaurants and law firms. Rick and his family moved to Nashville in March 2007 from Phoenix, Arizona, where he was a stay at home father. Rick enjoys spending time with my wife and daughter, and he's a cigar enthusiast who sells cigar box clocks at the local Tennessee Flea Market (AGR 105 Building) as a hobby. Rick is a proud American who served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Div, 2/504 PI.
Lacee Reeves, Senior Graphic Designer
Lacee has been with Coupon Mint since December 2007. She received a BFA from MTSU in Graphic Design. She leads the graphic department in the creation and execution of advertisement design, magazine production and collateral print material. Lacee strives to approach every design challenge with a creative eye and an open mind. She brings a passion for communication through design, a thorough appreciation of art, and a focused attention to detail that ensure a phenomenal finished product every time.
Kristina Troglen, Graphic Specialist
Kristina earned her BA from the University of Kentucky. She worked in Television, specializing in media advertising for over 10 years before joining CouponMint. Her mission is simple--to make the client's ad process profitable and enjoyable. Recently married, Kristina has lived in Nashville over six years.
Ben Hastie, Graphic Designer
My name is Ben Hastie. I've worked as a Graphic Designer for Coupon Mint going on close to 5 months now. I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Visual Communications from Sinclair College in Dayton, OH. My responsibilities include; designing Coupon Mint ads, proofing ads and production work when needed. I take customer service very seriously, and I always do my best to exceed the customers' expectations. Friendliness and patience is also important to me in taking care of customers' needs.
Steven Smitherman, Graphic Designer
IÃm Steven Smitherman and IÃm originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design. IÃm a graphic designer at the Coupon Mint which means IÃm part of the team that creates, updates and proofs the ads. My ultimate goal here is to make sure our clients are very happy with the appearance and accuracy of their ad.
Carolyn Cooper, Billing and Contract Administrator
Carolyn started working here in September, 2007. Carolyn loves her job and strives to build a lasting professional relationship with each client. She has 30+ years experience in the accounting profession and enrolls in continuing education classes on a regular basis. Rose Gross, Office Manager
I have been with Coupon Mint since July 2003, as an Office Manager. My responsibilities have been numerous over the years from Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Payroll, Ad Copy Coordinator and your all around go to person.
