I have been to Pan Asia twice and enjoyed it both times. As for drinks I like tea and they refill it right at the table. They have more varity then Chef Wangs. It is very spacious and they do have a Bar for people who like to drink.

Generic at best...you have been warned

When I first heard there was going to be another Chinese buffet in town I eagerly awaited for the doors to open. I am a huge fan of Asian food in general and was never very fond of Chef Wang's. My family and I went there once when they first opened and I'll be the first to admit I wasn't terribly impressed by the food selection that was available, it definately didn't live up to the hype in the advertisements. Also, there were several instances with the wait staff that I chalked up to them just being new. After returning last week to see if things had improved I found myself sorely disappointed yet again. The variety of food was still about the same and of the same quality, which was never that great to begin with. It definately wasn't worth the 12.99 per adult we paid, especially considering what we thought we were getting. All of the food issues I can get past because it seems to be about par for the course when it comes to buffets. The thing that I cannot and will not overlook is that when I needed a refill on my drink the waitress would not only pick up my glass but would also stop at other tables and pick up glasses for refills for other customers. I had a clear view of the area where the wait staff refill glasses so I could tell they were reusing the cups and I do not have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is that once the waiter(ress) sat the cups down on the counter how do they know for sure they are giving the correct cups to the proper patrons? No offense to anyone, but I barely like drinking after members of my own family, much less a stranger sitting at the table next to me. With the flu season in full swing and so many other viruses out there I don't want to chance anything, especially something that could have easily been avoided if not for carelessness. Needless to say, I had to ask for a new drink, not once, but twice because of this. I will never be visiting this establishment again which disheartens me because I am a rooter for the local underdog, but the high price (in comparison to the limited variety) and the problem I encountered with the wait staff left a bad taste in my mouth which I refuse to put myself through again.

Stick with the Wang's

My first and last experience with Pan Asian occurred at the beginning of their grand opening week a few months ago. We were excited to try something other than Chef Wang's for a Chinese buffet. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in we were just as quick to walk out. The atmosphere was less than pleasing, and there was a limited variety of food.. of which were very cold and unappetizing. After a bite we asked to speak to the manager, but he was persistent in telling us we were wrong and that the food was fine. So, trying to avoid further confrontation we paid for our uneaten meals and left for a better place.. Chef Wang's. I urge anyone that's interested in trying Pan Asian to think wisely and go elsewhere for their Chinese buffet dining experience!
